Rock Climbing is quickly becoming a favorite at The Jungle! It’s a great way to build strength and focus, while having a ton of fun!
The Jungle is constantly remaking itself to have new walls and fresh climbing routes. We offer a variety of classes for students with varying degrees of experience.
Our coaches and amazing facility will help you improve your strength, agility, and mental discipline.
Rock Climbing at The Jungle is divided into 3 types: Bouldering, Top Roping, and Lead Climbing.
Bouldering
Climbing short routes with no ropes. Usually, bouldering routes are more challenging and require more explosive and dynamic climbing than the longer top roping routes.
Bouldering classes at The Jungle are for all levels and helps build grip strength beyond compare. Become a true monkey and climb to your hearts content!
Top Roping
Top roping means that the rope is already hooked to the anchors at the top of the wall, a very safe and beginner version of climbing taller routes that require more endurance. Walls at The Jungle get up to 24ft!
This class requires a lot of rope skills and knowledge. There’s some “ground school” before students can get on the walls. It is recommended to take an Intro to Top Roping class. Learning your knots and belay skills come before climbing in this class. Top Roping at The Jungle is considered Levels 1&2.
Lead Climbing
Lead climbing is the process of using gear called quick draws to assist you getting the rope from the bottom to the top of the wall while on belay. This style of climbing is certainly the most exhilarating way to climb long routes.
Lead climbing can be safe only if you know what you’re doing. One wrong mistake and it could lead to a big fall. For that reason, lead climbing at The Jungle is considered level 3 and you must test into it. Once you understand it, however, you’ll never want to stop! It’s so much fun!
